Graduate Software Developer (Glasgow)

The opportunity

As part of its continued growth, BiP Solutions now has a requirement for a Graduate Java Developer to join its team based in its prestigious office in Glasgow’s Digital Media Quarter.

Reporting to the Head of IT and working in very close association with Project Managers and the wider development team, you will play a role in designing, developing and testing own-brand products and bespoke client-driven solutions. The role also involves adhering to and gaining an understanding of the technical direction for our products as well as committing to a quality focus in our product development methodologies.

At BiP Solutions you will have exposure to the whole software development lifecycle (SDLC). This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and exceptional graduate Java Developer looking to gain commercial experience and begin their career within an expanding and forward thinking organisation.


To develop your experience you will be mentored and developed by IT Management and the wider development team. To be successful you will demonstrate an interest and enthusiasm in working in a fast moving, challenging and equally rewarding role.

Whilst commercial experience is not a prerequisite the successful candidate should be educated to degree level or be able to show a demonstrable equivalent.

The successful candidate will be working with the following technologies and or methodologies:

  • Full SDLC
  • Java Programming Language
  • Spring and Spring MVC frameworks
  • Experience with JDBC, Hibernate and SQL (Oracle or similar RDBMS)
  • Software design patterns
  • Agile software development methodologies
  • Automated test tools
