Head of Commercial

Operating as part of the company Senior Management Team, the core responsibilities of the role will include: –

Successful Bid Management

  • Creation and submission of compliant and innovative bid and proposal responses which generate new business
  • Support all stages of partner engagement from initial exploration to signing of teaming agreements

Consultancy

  • As the identified Expert, deliver in country and desk based billable hours (day rates) in line with terms and conditions of the associated contract
  • Deliver client tasks and activities including training and / or presentations in line with agreed objectives and project Terms of Reference

Account Management

  • Can act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and clients,
  • Speaking and presenting to SME’s at events with CompeteFor, advising them how to participate in major contracts and win business

Leadership

  • Provide leadership to the Commercial team to deliver quality award winning bids within agreed timescales and predetermined budgets
  • Provide active coaching, development and support to drive both individual and team performance
  • Assume a lead role in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members

As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following experience: –

  • Significant bid management experience, with a demonstrable track record of success
  • Extensive knowledge of the tendering process and wider procurement arena
  • Experience and understanding of procurement process and E-procurement
  • Strong experience within the technology sector, ideally with SAAS knowledge
  • Stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with people at all levels across the organisation
  • Previous experience of operating as part of a senior management team; with a track record of developing performance capability
